The first line of the USSVI CREED is "To perpetuate the memory of our shipmates who gave their lives
in the pursuit of their duties while serving their country."
Perch Base USSVI participated in the Memorial Day Ceremonies at the National Cemetery of Arizona, including Tolling of the Boats,
on Monday, May 27, 2024.
The Tolling of the Boats ceremony is conducted at the Mark 18 Torpedo Monument placed by the WWII Submarine Veterans in the Purple Heart Circle.

On the south end of the Mark 18 Torpedo Monument is a plaque of the Arizona submariners that were lost during WWII.
