Perch Base Holland Club Member and Life Member Lt. Wayne Anton "Brad" Braastad, USN (Retired) passed away September 24, 2023, at the age of 101. Our condolences to Brad's wife, Stella, and children, Barbara, Wayne, Marilyn and Ruthie.
Born in Minneapolis, Minn on July 7, 1922, Brad was a deeply religious man, husband, father and WWII naval leader.
Although a resident of Tucson, AZ, Brad became a member of Perch Base in Phoenix, AZ, in our early years, then chartered the Tucson Base USSVI and was the first Tucson Base Commander on January 1, 2004.
Services have been held.
