Just in case we didn't feel safe, this tank was parked right in front of the USS Phoenix to protect us!

The Higley Unified School District AFJROTC performing a rifle demonstration, including elaborate rifle spins and tosses. Perhaps some of these gents will go on to the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and do the same thing with fixed bayonets!

The Honorable Gilbert Mayor Scott Anderson presented a Veterans Day Proclamation to former Gilbert Mayor Jen Daniels who was escorted by another Gilbert Veteran.

Gilbert Councilman Bill Spence, a retired U.S. Navy lieutenant commander who has served and qualified on submarines, introduced the Keynote Speaker, Nikki Stratton.

Nikki Stratton addressed the audience. Nikki's grandfather, Donald Stratton (1922-2020) was one of the last three living survivors of the Battleship USS Arizona (BB-39). In February 2020, following the funeral of her grandfather, Nikki was asked by the (Acting) Secretary of the Navy to be the "Ship's Sponsor" of the newly designated USS Arizona (SSN-803) Virginia Class Block V Fast Attack Submarine.

Members of the audience were spaced by families in separated circles to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
