Congratulations to the four children and grandchildren of Perch Base members who each received $1,000 scholarships during the August 5, 2020 Board of Directors meeting. The Perch Base treasury provided $1,000 toward scholarships, the Newman Family donated $1,000 in Jim's memory and the Perch Base Charitable Foundation provided the other $2,000 toward the scholarships.
Typically in the past, we would present the scholarships in person at a general meeting, but with so many meeting cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we weren't able to grant the scholarships in person this year. The Scholarship recipients were Paige Urness, Jaid Urness, Cameron Millette and Jacen Millette.
Paige and Jaid Urness are the Daughters of Perch Base member Chris Urness. Cameron and Jacen are Grandsons of our Perch Base Commander Howard Doyle.
