Groundbreaking
Monday, August 3rd, 2020, Perch Base members, Sunland Construction personnel, artists, designers, engineering personnel and others conducted a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Arizona Silent Service Memorial (ASSM) at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza in front of the Arizona State Capital Building. The event opened with a touching eulogy for the ASSM Foundation Chairman, Tim Moore, who had just passed on Eternal Patrol several days earlier on July 31.

This is the letter that approved the design and location of the memorial. A lot of planning and fundraising went into this letter being issued.
