OBITUARY
Cold War Submariner Russell Arthur Rutowski was born on August 9, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and passed away
on September 28, 2019 in Chandler, Arizona.
Our condolences to his wife, Diane, and his family.
Russ enlisted in 1970 and qualified in submarines in 1974 aboard the USS Pollack (SSN-603). He also served aboard Lapon (SSN-601), Tunny (SSN-682),
Cincinnati (SSN-693) and John C Calhoun (SSBN-630), retiring in 1991 as MMCM(SS).
He was a member of USSVI Perch Base in Arizona since 2015.
No memorial service has been announced and he is expected to be buried at sea.
