For over 10 years, the plaque on the World War I Veterans Memorial at Wesley Bolin Plaza has been missing. A copy of the logo, similar to the missing plaque, was found in the "Doughboys Bill of Rights" at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum archives.
Arizona became a state on February 14, 1912 and the United States entered World War 1 on April 2, 1917. Arizona lost 127 service members to World War 1.
